“Call in black” from all nonessential activities. If you have the option to take a mental-health day from work, use it. If absolutely necessary, offer to respond only to emergency situations via email. Be sure to take time off so that you don’t end up sitting at work inefficient and distracted. BlackGrad

The Black Student Association and Ethnic Studies Department of University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UH Mānoa) will host a Black Graduation Recognition Ceremony at UH Mānoa. The aim of Black graduation is to celebrate the academic success of African American undergraduate and graduate students for the 2016-17 academic year with other African American students, faculty members, representatives from student affairs, staff, and their families.
